On December 31, 1986, V2 released its first Manifesto for the Unstable Media in an edition of 10.000. Most were distributed door-to-door, additionally, a copy was printed in Volkskrant, one of the largest Dutch newspapers. V2 received many (and different) reaction to the manifesto, mostly through its newspaper version.
In support of this manifesto, the Manifest[o] exhibition was organized from January 3rd to January 17th. The opening featured The Haters, Strafe für Rebellion, Selektion, the Iron Brotherhood, and a live telephone interview with Kim Cascone in San Francisco. The exhibition with works by Selektion Optik, Die Tödliche Doris, Annemie van Kerckhoven, Bernd Kastner, G.X. Jupitter-Larsen, Vivenza, V2 and Sigi Sinyuga continued till 17 January 1987.
